As promised I’m posting part 3 and part 4 of the ‘A safe world for women’ interview.
Part 3 is about my work in general in Palestine and about some of the experiences there.
Part 4 is much more specific and deals with the East-Jerusalem evictions that I photographed last summer. Sadly on this topic things haven’t changed much since I was there last. More families have been put out on the streets and only this week, Israel started on the demolition of the Shepard hotel to make room for 20 homes for Jewish settlers.
As I said in the article: ‘We often forget when we talk about the house evictions in East Jerusalem that it’s about real people, with names and families, not just statistics and numbers as we read in the newspaper.’
