It’s taken some time, but finally some my work on fistula in Pakistan is online on the UNFPA website.

And don’t forget that with treatment, most women can get their lives back and be happy again. Like Shamim who I met in Karachi in 2009. After she had a successful fistula repair operation, I was allowed to accompany her when she was returning home to be reunited with her husband and adopted girl.
