Well, it’s about that time to hit the road again. I’m almost packed and ready to return to Pakistan tomorrow.
This time though the conditions will be even worse then before with the devastating floods that have swept through the country. Displacing millions of people from their homes and villages. Destroying homes, cattle and crops. Making conditions for women and girls even more difficult then they already were before this natural disaster.
I hope to give regular updates via this blog about the situation on the ground. Much will depend on the conditions of the communication tools. As you can imagine electricity and internet services have suffered just as much due to the water, so I hope to somehow find a way to keep everyone updated on what’s going on.
If you haven’t donated before, please consider doing so now. The people of Pakistan really need your help for years to come. I’ve donated money to MSF/Doctors without borders, but there are plenty of other great ngo’s and charities that are doing amazing work as we speak.
